Adopt a Pond

What Lives in the Wetland Field Trip

Free field trip offered to public school teachers and community groups. Come out to a real research site within the Apalachicola National Forest and learn about life history cycles, ephemeral wetlands, scientific investigation, and local ecology all within the native longleaf pine ecosystem. In general this is a 3-hour activity but timing and duration can be adjusted based on teacher needs. Custom Natural History Tours

If you would like to request a custom private tour anywhere in north Florida, on land or on water, please call or text CPI president Ryan Means (850-544-5661) or email CoastalPlainsAdventures@gmail.com. Cost is variable, depending on number of people, and logistics. Trip includes complementary drinks, shuttle service, launch fees if applicable, all equipment needed, and Ryan as your guide. Ryan has spent his entire life and scientific career studying the natural history of north Florida, and he is all too eager to share with you any of it.
