We are a nonprofit educational and research organization that depends on contributions from the public. We do not receive annual salaries, we have no rent/mortgage, and have very little other costs, so your tax-deductible donations go directly towards our programs and activities.
Our main purpose is the preservation of the biotic diversity of the Coastal Plain of the southeastern United States, a broad natural region of the eastern U.S. stretching from east Texas to the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Focusing primarily on, but not restricted to, north Florida, we believe our main objective can best be achieved through two activities: disseminating knowledge and understanding of natural history, ecology, and environments of the Coastal Plain and increasing new knowledge through scientific studies. All contributions are tax deductible .
